La Trobe University's Clinical Teaching Facility

The La Trobe University Clinical Teaching Building is a purpose-built facility designed to enhance clinical education and expand integrated teaching and learning opportunities across a range of allied health disciplines. Located within the Bundoora Campus, the development brings together modern clinical training environments and shared learning spaces to support future-focused healthcare education.
HOF Electrical delivered the complete electrical scope for this new facility, from core infrastructure through to advanced building systems. The works were carried out in accordance with relevant standards and site requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing campus infrastructure and future adaptability.
The scope included the supply, installation, coordination, and integration of new mains infrastructure, switchboards, submains, general and emergency lighting systems, and body-protected clinical areas in accordance with AS/NZS 3003 requirements. HOF also delivered full containment systems and power distribution throughout the building.
In addition, the project incorporated advanced electrical and building systems, including Dynalite DALI lighting control, emergency lighting monitoring (Legrand Galaxy), energy metering via Azzo EMS, and power factor correction systems. Integration with the building management system (BMS) was also completed, along with provisions for future EV charging infrastructure and rooftop solar photovoltaic systems.
HOF Electrical coordinated all works to ensure compliance, system reliability, and future scalability, delivering a fully integrated electrical installation supporting the teaching and clinical functions of the facility.
