HOF Electrical has been appointed to provide end-to-end electrical services for Tower 3 at the QVM Southern Site, a landmark 54-storey residential development designed by Kerstin Thompson Architects (KTA). Located at the corner of Franklin and Queen Streets, Melbourne, the project will comprise approximately 1,010 apartments across 43,000m² and form a key component of the broader Queen Victoria Market urban renewal precinct.
The scope of works will include design coordination, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of all electrical systems throughout the development. Key infrastructure will comprise LV power distribution, main switchboards, cable containment systems, earthing and surge protection, general and emergency lighting, external feature lighting, aviation obstacle lighting, lightning protection, and power and data services to mechanical, hydraulic, fire, and lift systems.
The project will also incorporate extensive communications and technology infrastructure, including structured cabling, MATV distribution, AV systems, and integrated security solutions such as CCTV, access control, intruder detection, and intercom systems.
Working closely with utility providers, the head contractor, and associated building services trades, HOF will coordinate the delivery and integration of all electrical systems to support the successful completion of a high-performance residential tower within one of Melbourne's most significant mixed-use developments.
